Our partnerships and memberships
Polish Chamber of Waste Management (PIGO),
The Polish Chamber of Waste Management (PIGO), founded in 2003, is an association of companies operating in the waste collection and management sector, recovery organisations, manufacturers of technology, vehicles and equipment, as well as consulting and training companies. The Chamber's mission is to represent and protect the interests of its members, to support environmentally friendly practices, separate collection and recycling of waste, and to participate in legislative processes while promoting fair competition and high environmental standards.
PIGO members include Interzero.
Confederation of Leviathan
The Lewiatan Confederation is one of the most influential business organisations in Poland. It works to create favourable conditions for the development of companies, enabling them to have a real impact on the shaping of laws and dialogue with public administration. It represents the interests of its members both in Poland and internationally - in the European Union and the OECD.
The organisation has a permanent representation in Brussels and, as the only one from Poland, belongs to BusinessEurope - the largest European organisation of employers. Its structures include over 4100 companies employing a total of over one million employees.
Anna Grom, Head of Interzero Circular Solutions Europe Interzero is also a member of the General Council of the Lewiatan Confederation.
The Lewiatan Confederation has been an honorary patron of our Interzero Environmental Conference for several editions now, and its representatives participate in the panel discussions organised by the conference.
Polish Chamber of Packaging Recovery and Recycling
The Polish Chamber of Packaging Recovery and Recycling is an economic self-government organisation,
for packaging producers, their customers and operators
waste. PIOIRO represents a group of entrepreneurs who are obliged to
the collection, recovery, recycling and disposal of multi-material packaging and after
hazardous measures. Within the framework of the agreements concluded with the Marshall of the Voivodship
PIOIRO organises the waste management system.
Chamber of the Electronic Economy
The Chamber of the Electronic Economy works to represent and support companies related to the digital economy sector in Poland, with a particular focus on e-Isba member organisations. Its mission is to develop the Polish digital market by building cooperation between entities, knowledge sharing, legislative initiatives and effective representation of common interests in relations with public administration - both national and EU - and non-governmental organisations in Poland and abroad.
As of 2024, Interzero has joined as an e-Isba member, actively participating in activities supporting the responsible development of e-commerce and educating the market on the responsibilities of producers in international trade.
We have a Project
Eco-experimentarium and Turning Point are educational and ecological initiatives of the collective We have a Project. Interzero was involved in the creation of Turning Point and has supported both activities with excitement following their development for several years.
Turning point is an interactive space whose content is aimed at young people. Its theme is fast fashion, the environmental consequences of this industry and the circular economy. The exhibition has been designed in an engaging and immersive way to make it easy for participants to take in information and see the contexts and impacts of fashion that is very close to them. In four specially designed puzzle rooms, visitors can learn how fast fashion affects the planet and understand why the circular economy, using packaging waste as an example, is important. Recently, the EcoCentre also created a pathway for participants aged 7-9 years.
For more information see our post >>
EcoExperimentarium is also an engaging exhibition, but driving and centred around the theme of home. The space that Interzero has substantively co-created is naturally the kitchen, where we sort our waste on a daily basis. By completing a task, the children learn which containers each waste should go into.
In 2024, the exhibition visited three more Polish cities: Walbrzych, Kielce and Opole. This year, it continues its journey. More than 8,500 people were able to discover with us simple ecological tips that each of us can implement in our homes.
UNEP/GRID-Warsaw
Our cooperation with UNEP/GRID-Warsaw started with our participation in the programme Re:generationwhich aims to support and restore ecosystems. Thanks to the commitment of Interzero, the organiser of the programme, and the Royal Lazienki Museum, the historic pond and its surroundings were strengthened and given an irrigation system. On the occasion of the cooperation, we also realised a series of educational activities for the youngest and we purchased houses for the non-human inhabitants of the park. The ecosystem that Interzero supported is a unique area in the centre of Warsaw that is an important leisure space for female and male residents and a heritage site that is unique in the world.
In 2025, we have extended our cooperation with UNEP/GRID-Warsaw and are pursuing environmental objectives in networking projects:
- Climate Leadership, in which we are undertaking research activities around the black bag of waste; the results of our work will be published in the form of a report;
- Together for the Environment, where we meet with business, local governments, foundations and other stakeholders to design solutions that strengthen sustainability, including circular waste management.
Continuous development and availability for new partnerships
Interzero is constantly expanding its network of contacts. We are always on the lookout for partners who, like us, see the need to move towards a circular economy. By working together, we can not only respond more effectively to climate challenges, but also share knowledge and experiences and create real added value for the economy and society.
If you represent a company, public institution, NGO or academic institution and would like to actively participate in the green transformation process, we invite you to work with Interzero. Together we can implement effective solutions in the areas of waste management, education and environmental innovation.
